Sledding on the driveway!

Luca's first sled ride.

Christmas time and SNOW

I love Santa this year.
He's the best.
I want to be his helper.
See my matching hat!

Do you think 4 candy canes on one branch is too many?

I like to swim on my back and put my head under water.
That way I can't hear my mom nagging.

Have you ever swung in the snow.
I have.

Then I had hot chocolate.
(evidence is all over my face)

Picasso in Training

Here's Luca describing his drawing.

Snow in Portland

Our first snow storm in Portland.
Our backyard is a winter playland.
Our driveway is the neighborhood
kids' luge...we have the steepest slope.

Snow anyone?

Here's Luca singing Jingle Bells—HEY!

Christmas tree huntin'

Karen with Charlie and Davis.
We went hunting for Christmas trees
in Tualatin, Oregon. There were almost
too many to choose from.

Rob's posing with his little saw.
We were going to cut down our own tree,
but the guy with the chain saw came
by and cut it down in 5 seconds!

Best buddies.

Exploring Oregon—part 1

We took a walk along the Willamette River
one Sunday afternoon.

Willamette River and one of the many bridges.

Luca exploring the water room at the
Portland Children's Museum.

Rob is loving all this NATURE.
We took a drive along the Columbia River.
There are many waterfalls, the river,
the gorge, a dam, and fish hatcheries to see.

We hiked a trail that had some smaller
waterfalls that we could go under.

Luca loves looking at all the plants,
spiders, bugs, and birds.

In front of a small waterfall.

Here's Multnomah Falls.
The second tallest year-round falls
in the USA. This is only about an hour
from our new house.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2008

Here's the table, complete with Turkey
(of course Luca and I didn't eat that!)

One of our top 2 chefs

HEY, this is a childs blog. Keep it G rated.
You know what CHOCOLATE does to AnAn.

Our other top chef in action.

Time for cuddle time with Luca in front of the fire.

After hiking to the top of Mt. Tabor we
thought this was the perfect shot for our
Christmas card. Andrea shot a lot, but none were
worthy of the Christmas card. Portland is in the background.

Luca's proving to be a good hiker already.

Sisters.

downtown Portland Christmas
tree lighting so they could see SANTA.

AnAn and Uncle David.
They stayed with us all weekend long.

OMSI in Portland

Daddy took me to OMSI, the science museum in Portland.
What do I do with these eggs?

Pumpkin Patch birthday party and Monster Mash Halloween Parade

We went to my new friend Ari's 4th birthday party
at a pumpkin patch. There were animals, pumpkins,
horses, hay rides, pumpkin throwing, hay mazes, slides...
Perfect place for a party.

The view from the top of the hill on the hay ride.

Pony rides! It was very windy up on that hill.

I went to the Sellwood/Moreland Monster Mash
Halloween Parade. I was a kangaroo again this year.

Aunt Karen was a witch
