Pumpkin Patch birthday party and Monster Mash Halloween Parade

We went to my new friend Ari's 4th birthday party
at a pumpkin patch. There were animals, pumpkins,
horses, hay rides, pumpkin throwing, hay mazes, slides...
Perfect place for a party.

The view from the top of the hill on the hay ride.

Pony rides! It was very windy up on that hill.

I went to the Sellwood/Moreland Monster Mash
Halloween Parade. I was a kangaroo again this year.

Aunt Karen was a witch

Daddy and I marching in the parade.

Jamie strolled baby Charlie as he took his nap.

Parks, walks and life

I'm wearing my new rain gear in MY backyard!

This is the view down our street!
Our house is in the middle of the block.

A fall evening walk to the playground.

I missed daddy while he was
in NY and we were in Portland.

I see why you need sunglasses in Portland.

What PROBLEM! I don't have a problem.
(admitting it is the FIRST step. we're not there yet!)

Long shadows at Wilshire Park.

Nakie-boy soup!

WE'RE HOME, in Portland!

Luca and I spent our first 3 1/2 weeks in Portland at Uncle Pierce and Aunt Erin's out in Scappoose. It was fun hanging out with them, but we are finally in our own house in Portland. It's an old 1927 bungalow style home. 4 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. We will post photos soon!
Luca is already loving the outdoors, our fenced in backyard, walks to the 3 playgrounds and 3 big tree filled parks nearby. Luca's music class is only 5 blocks away and we walked there this morning. He looked at all the scary Halloween decorations and pumpkins sitting on porches, walked thru all the fall colored leaves, fell a few times, and ran like a little boy!
We're making friends every time we go to the park, but it will take a while to find friends like he had in NYC! He's missing them a lot. The library is only 7 blocks away and has a few story time classes during the week. We've been a few times already.

Here are some photos from a trip we took to the Oregon Coast the second week we were here:

Luca and I went to Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast one
beautiful sunny Portland day. It was beautiful the first 15 minutes...

...and then the fog came in. It went from 70º to 50º in minutes.

So Luca and I headed North to the next beach (Seaside).
It turned out to be sunny and nice the rest of the day.
Sand castles and baseball!

And lots of crabs (not alive).

There was a swing set right on the beach.

Mommy and Luca, missing daddy who was still
in NYC our second week in Portland.

A beautiful land and seascape at the Oregon shore.
